Clinical management for clinics and health professionals

Chivo organizes your clinic’s schedule, patients and records.

During the visit you have each patient’s history, documents and known allergies at hand, and your team coordinates the day from the same place.

  1. Front desk: Does Lucía Méndez have an appointment with Dr. Robles today?
  2. The information is in: Patients, Schedule.
  3. Answer: Yes, today at 10:30 with Dr. Ana Robles. Her registration is still incomplete. (10:30 · Waiting)

Illustration with sample data

Every plan starts with a free period from the day the team activates your account.

Your records in one place

  1. 1Booking the appointment

    Sample data

    What happens
Lucía Méndez calls the clinic and the front desk books a first visit with Dr. Ana Robles at 10:30. When she arrives, her appointment moves from “Waiting” to “On visit”.
    What Chivo does
Shows today’s appointments with time, patient, physician, reason and status.
  2. 2Patient registration

    Sample data

    What happens
The front desk registers Lucía as a new patient with her basic details. Her DPI/CUI is left pending, to be completed when she arrives at the clinic.
    What Chivo does
Brings each patient’s information together and keeps the registrations that still need completing in view.
  3. 3Visit with history and documents

    Sample data

    What happens
During the visit, Dr. Robles reviews Lucía’s records and known allergies. The front desk uploads the lab result Lucía brought, and the doctor opens it in the viewer.
    What Chivo does
Lists the patient’s records with date, category, state and who recorded them, and shows their documents in the viewer, within the same chart.
  4. 4Follow-up

    Sample data

    What happens
Dr. Robles finalizes the visit and the front desk checks the upcoming reminders on the dashboard.
    What Chivo does
Shows upcoming reminders on the dashboard, and Tasks has its own module in the menu; we’ll show you how it works in the demo.

Still keeping records in decade-old systems?

The schedule in a notebook, printed results, follow-ups in scattered chats. Chivo brings that daily work together in one place for your clinic.

With scattered tools

  • Paper schedule
  • Spreadsheets
  • Paper folders
  • Scattered chats
  • Printed results
  • Handwritten notes
  • Reminders from memory
  • Legacy system

When every piece of information lives somewhere else, putting together a patient's history means searching all of them.

With Chivo

  • Schedule
  • Patients
  • Records
  • Team
  • Documents
  • Tasks
  • Reminders
  • Reports

The same jobs, organized in one workspace your team shares.

Your day on a single screen

When you sign in, the dashboard shows the date, your organization and today's appointments, with shortcuts to create a patient or an appointment.

  1. You see the date, your organization and the New patient and New appointment buttons.

  2. Waiting, On visit, Finished, No show and Cancelled, each with its count.

  3. Incomplete registrations, document intake and upcoming reminders, in the right-hand column.

AI and MCP

Chivo and AI assistants (MCP): in preparation

Scope to be published

The idea is to connect Chivo to your AI assistant through MCP (Model Context Protocol) so you can ask it about your clinic’s operations. We are not announcing what it will be able to query yet: before the connection is enabled, we will publish its scope on the MCP page, and it will only work if your clinic’s administrator authorizes it.

How it will be enabled

  • Its scope will be published on the MCP page before the connection is enabled.
  • Your clinic’s administrator decides whether to authorize it.
  • If it ever handles identifiable patient data, it will require per-scope permissions, an access log and a review of data processing with each AI provider.
  • Do not send real clinical information to AI services without that documented authorization flow.

Administrator at Example Clinic: How many appointments do we have tomorrow, and how many incomplete registrations?

AI assistant: Here is the summary, without patient data:

  • Appointments scheduled for tomorrow: 8.
  • Incomplete registrations on the dashboard: 2.

You can review the details on the Chivo dashboard.

Illustrative simulation: sample people, clinic and data. The connection’s actual scope will be published on the MCP page before it is enabled.

Frequently asked questions

Straight answers about data, access, trials, charges and the MCP connection. If yours is not here, write to us.

Can I migrate records from another system or from paper?

It depends on where your information comes from and its format. The Chivo team evaluates each case and tells you what can and cannot be done; we do not promise a migration before reviewing your data.

Tell us about your situation through contact or in a demo.

Who can access each patient’s data?

Each person signs in with their own user, and your clinic manages users and their roles from the Users and roles module. Each entry in the record also shows who recorded it.

In the demo we show you what users and roles look like, and we answer what access the Chivo team has for activation and support.

Can I export my data if I leave Chivo?

Write to us at info@hopperlabs.io or through contact. The team evaluates the format and scope of the information you need and gets back to you. We do not advertise an export feature or a specific format on this site.

How are records backed up and recovered?

We do not publish information about backups or recovery here. Ask in the demo or write to us through contact and the team will get back to you.

What can the MCP connection access, and who authorizes it?

There is no published documentation of Chivo’s MCP connection yet, so we are not announcing what it will be able to access. Its scope will be published on the MCP page before it is enabled, and your clinic’s administrator decides whether to authorize it.

If it ever handles identifiable patient data, it will require per-scope permissions, an access log and a review of data processing with each AI provider. In the meantime, do not send real clinical information to AI services without that documented authorization flow.

Is Chivo HIPAA certified?

No. Chivo does not display HIPAA seals or certifications.

HIPAA is a United States law on health information. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) clarifies that the Security Rule does not require organizations to “certify” compliance (opens in a new tab) and that it does not endorse or recognize private “certifications” on the matter. In other words, HHS does not certify products as “HIPAA compliant”.

Aligning with HIPAA involves administrative, physical and technical safeguards, internal policies, business associate agreements where they apply, and legal review. HHS also publishes guidance on cloud computing (opens in a new tab).

If your organization needs to review this topic, the team can discuss it with you.

When does the trial end and when is the first charge?

The trial starts on the day the Chivo team manually activates your account, not on the day you purchase. While your account shows “Pending activation”, the trial does not run and nothing is charged.

From activation, the Starter plan has a 14-day trial; the Pro plan, 1 extra month at no cost; and the Scale plan, 3 extra months at no cost. The first charge comes when that period ends. See the details on pricing and in the purchase terms.

What happens if I cancel?

If you cancel during the trial, you avoid the first charge. On the Starter plan, cancelling prevents the next month’s charge. On the Pro and Scale plans, cancelling turns off the next renewal and you keep access for the period you already paid.

The full rules are in the purchase terms.

How many users does the price include?

Every plan includes up to 10 users across physicians and administrative staff. Prices already include taxes; you can compare them on pricing.

How does onboarding work?

On every plan, the Chivo team activates your account manually. The Pro and Scale plans include support from the team during the first 3 months from activation, with a Zoom meeting every 15 days.

The Scale plan adds direct WhatsApp with the founders during the first year from activation.

Do prices include taxes?

Yes. All prices are in U.S. dollars (USD) and include taxes. You can find them on pricing.

Can I see Chivo before paying?

Yes. In a demo, the team shows you Chivo, reviews how you work and answers your questions. Also, no plan charges anything before the trial ends, and the trial starts when the team activates your account.
