The challenge
A clinic receives lab results as files by email and on paper. Some stay in the inbox and others on a desk, never linked to the patient.
When the physician needs them during a visit, someone has to go and find them.
With Chivo
From the record’s workstation, the front desk uploads the file: they drop it in or browse for it, choose the document type, set the source or tag (for example, lab system or front desk) and add a description.
Images preview in the viewer, next to the record. On the dashboard, the document intake section shows what is coming in.
The source is a value chosen when uploading the file: this scenario does not assume an integration with any laboratory.
The result
In this scenario, every result would be stored in the patient’s record, with its type, its source and a description.
During the visit, the physician could review it in the viewer without leaving the record.
